Think of roleplaying like improvisation - it may be pretending to be something or someone you aren't normally, or a version of yourself. Many people think that roleplaying is limited to scary dungeons and big fire breathing dragons, or even the mother/father/son/daughter roleplaying in a psychiatrist’s offices, but true roleplaying can incorporate anything from futuristic science fiction robots to blonde bimbos with big guns (and I do mean machine guns). Roleplaying is about experiencing new people, places, thoughts, and ways of thinking that you may not normally encounter.
A character is the person/animal/thing you role-play. Such as if you decide to role-play a horse, the horse is your character.
Its very simple actually. Here is an example, your character is annie and the other persons is charlie. Annie: She walked around bored out of her mind. Charlie: He saw annie, walked up to her and smiled. "hi" he said softly. < That is role-playing.
Anything you can think of, as long as it fits into the role-play you are joining. If there is not a role-play already up you are interested in, then you can make your own -see the topic 'how to make a succesful rp'-
Say you are making a wolf. You need to come up with a name, possibly something unique, and then you fill in the form the role-play provides you.
If you have any more questions that arent answered here, you may post it on this topic, and i will answer the question.
